For the sixth consecutive year, Seattle Homes & Lifestyles and Seattle Design Center are pleased to present the Design Achievement Awards, honoring four local designers who are defining (or redefining) their industry and creating a legacy for up-and-coming designers

This year’s esteemed selection panel included 2007 DAA honoree landscape architect Charles Anderson, retailer Brian Balmert of Ornamo, interior designer Nancy Burfiend, Seattle City Editor for Metropolitan Home and SH&L Market Advisor Linda Humphrey and architect Rick Mohler. Also in attendance were SH&L editor Giselle Smith, art director Shawn Williams and publisher Jill Mogen and SDC’s Craig Cross and Kathy O’Kelly. Panelists individually nominated candidates and by consensus chose designers who inspire their community with energy, talent and commitment.
