When a room full of well-laureled design professionals choose people to praise—you know the honorees are going to be good. Seattle Homes & Lifestyles and Seattle Design Center brought together architects, artists, interior designers, landscape architects and others in the design community to honor their peers who are making a significant impact on the city of Seattle and the field of design as a whole.

The fifth annual Design Achievement Award honorees were chosen by past award winners landscape architect Linda Attaway, public artist Linda Beaumont, architect David Coleman and interior designer Christian Grevstad as well as architect Scott Allen, landscape architect Chip Ragen and interior designer Rick Baye. They were joined by SH&L’s market adviser Linda Humphrey, publisher Jill Mogen, art director Shawn Williams, editor Giselle Smith and assistant editor Lindsey Rowe—plus Craig Cross from SDC—to nominate candidates with an eye for design and projects recognized around the Sound—and the world.
